Accreditation
The EMCC Global Five Day Challenge
We can help you get ready to submit your application for accreditation as a coach or a mentor.
As a trained coach and/or mentor and/or leader using coaching or mentoring skills as part of a wider leadership and work-based role, with at least one year’s experience and great feedback from clients, you could be ready for an EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA).
But you may not be sure of how to apply or what to include. You may just be struggling to prioritise it for yourself.
If so, apply for the Five Day Challenge, and let us channel you to some support.
A great opportunity to take our time, and to be motivated against new things to growing ourselves
Feeling of encouragement and thankfulness that I am lucky to see this great idea during such heavy time
Very clear process, with your direction and having this support into the rooms.
From the outside, when I was trying to prepare myself on my own to accomplish this, it looked much more difficult.
What is the EMCC Global Five Day Challenge?
The 5DC is not a training course, or an information session – this is a guided ‘get-it-done’ series of five hours of mentoring from one of our volunteer facilitators, taking place on Zoom and in small cohorts.
By the end, you will either be in a position to submit your application or have a clear action plan for any additional logs you need to find or experience you need to gain which will allow you to do so.

Answers to frequently asked questions
What does EMCC Global expect of me for the Five Day Challenge?
This 5DC is a ‘get-it-done’ sprint where your volunteer facilitator not only describe the application but will also engage you in professional dialogue with your peers. We expect you to come to each session, to work between the sessions on the areas that you and your facilitator identify, and to support your peers.
How much does it cost?
Thanks to our volunteer facilitators, the support for this process is free for members of EMCC Global or EMCC Global affiliated countries and regions; you just pay for the accreditation itself. (This is the same price you would pay if applying independently).
Are the zoom sessions recorded?
No – the dialogic sessions themselves are special for the group itself and form a trusted set of conversations. It can get quite deep in enquiry, and we find that recording the sessions can stifle openness. You might find individual cohorts contract together to allow recording, but that would be a discussion with your group. We also do not allow bots or AI notetakers in the sessions.
Do I have to attend all five sessions?
Ideally, yes. You will form part of a cohort group of peers who rely on each other for mutual support, inspiration and accountability. If you are not there, the rest of the group misses your input. Plus, it adds additional pressure on the facilitators to bring you up to speed on what you have missed – our facilitators are volunteers and so we want to use their time wisely.
Can I apply for Master Practitioner via the Five Day Challenge?
Master Practitioner level is not possible via the 5DC as it requires an additional level of dialogue provided separate to the 5DC process.
Where can I find the application forms for the accreditation application?
All the application forms and links to supporting information that you will need during the week can be found on the EIA page
