EMCC Global Individual Team Coaching Accreditation (ITCA)

The EMCC Global Individual Team Coaching Accreditation (ITCA) and the associated Team Coaching Quality Award (TCQA) for training providers were the first internationally recognised accreditations in team coaching. The ITCA recognises the quality of your practice, your commitment to continuing professional development, reflective learning, and ongoing one-to-one supervision.

Achieving this award sets you apart in a specialist field. Through rigorous assessment of your team coaching knowledge and practice, it confirms your ability to work with teams to help them grow.

Become an accredited team coach with EMCC Global

There are four levels of EMCC Global Individual Team Coaching Accreditation (ITCA) as set out below. Team Coaches who have graduated from an EMCC Global TCQA accredited programme will find their level matched to their learning plus experience. Direct applications from individuals who have completed learning via other routes are also welcome. Every level has minimum requirements for length of experience, number of teams worked with, and membership of EMCC Global or one of our affiliated countries or regions.

Every applicant also needs to show evidence of continuing professional development, reflective learning, and ongoing one-to-one supervision. These are what demonstrate the quality of your practice.

Foundation

Typically a practicing mentor/coach with an existing Foundation EIA, working with at least one team.

Practitioner

Individuals tend to have a Practitioner EIA and facilitate team coaching with at least two teams, in a narrow range of contexts.

Senior Practitioner

Typically an EIA Senior Practitioner facilitating team coaching  at least three teams in a range of contexts.

Master Practitioner

Likely to have completed significant projects, working with at last seven teams internationally and with sustained contribution to the profession.

How to get your team coaching accreditation

Via your TCQA-accredited training programme

If you are a graduate of a team coaching training programme with a TCQA accreditation from EMCC Global then your application is very easy.

Your training provider will be in touch with us to let us know when you have passed the course. On completion of your practice hours, with evidence of past and ongoing one-to-one supervision, alignment with the Global Code of Ethics, your EMCC membership in place, and payment of the accreditation fee, your ITCA should be awarded automatically.

Note that if you completed your course more than two years prior to application, then you will need to apply directly.
