Ethics Centre for Excellence
Maintaining professional ethics across coaching, mentoring and supervision
We help practitioners understand and apply ethical principles across different cultures and contexts.
We make sure ethical standards stay up to date, keeping pace with changes in professional practice.
We guide people on maintaining integrity, doing the right thing for clients and handling difficult ethical situations.
We maintain the Global Code of Ethics as a practical framework for coaching, mentoring and supervision practitioners.
We keep the code relevant by updating it as the profession changes.
We help practitioners understand what ethical practice looks like in real situations. This means helping people think through difficult decisions, understand their responsibilities to clients and maintain integrity when facing professional challenges.
Key initiatives
Global Code of Ethics – We’ve updated the Code to make it more relatable, values-based and aligned with current practice.
Translation programme – We’re translating the Code into additional languages including Arabic, Dutch, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Romanian and Turkish. The Code is currently available in nine languages.
Our impact
The Global Code of Ethics is signed by 12 professional bodies worldwide.
The code informs the work of people who practice coaching, mentoring and supervision, as well as sponsors, users, beneficiaries and purchasers of such services.
We’ve updated the code to make it more relatable, values-based and aligned with current reality.
