We are looking for our next EMCC Global Vice President of Accreditation

EMCC Global is recruiting for a new VP of Accreditation, a successor for our current VP Accreditation and Membership whose term of office is ending this year.

Reporting to the EMCC Global President and as a member of the EMCC Global Executive Board, this is a home-based voluntary position of two days a week, supported by a service fee of EUR 1,000 per month.

The EMCC Global VP Accreditation is an important member of the team and is a pivotal role in driving standards for accredited practitioners, programmes and organisations.

Role purpose

  • To provide strategic direction and leadership in partnership with the EMCC Global Accreditation community to celebrate and regulate professional practice whilst also serving as an active member and Director of the EMCC Global Executive Board (GEB)
  • To ensure regulatory standards and professionalisation for EMCC Global Accreditation is in line with agreed EMCC Global Strategic Priorities and annual budget projections.
  • To build and maintain a working relation with key stakeholders, including Affiliates, Providers, Country board members for Quality & Ethics and Assessors.
  • To actively drive the professionalisation of this area to enhance processes, automation and communication; streamline and consciously improve the accreditation processes with a positive impact on response times, efficiency and client service.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Characteristics and Behaviours

  • Understanding of EMCC Global – its vision, purpose, and strategy
  • Leadership experience on board level, in higher education, business and voluntary sector, including multi-national regulatory contexts
  • Knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment ‘for’ and ‘in’ learning, including validation of work-based experience and (prior) learning
  • Ability to oversee, implement and innovate accreditation processes in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Team player on board level and in the accreditation domain, who is able to motivate and recruit staff, and able to work on their own to deliver results in line with the professional standards of accreditation processes
  • Very good spoken and written English (English is the working language of EMCC Global)
  • EMCC Global Individual Accreditation in place at (preferably) Master Practitioner level, or equivalent to enable EMCC Global EIA professional Designation at MP level to be established

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Characteristics and Behaviours

  • Active fully trained EMCC Global Assessor or equivalent background
  • Designer and evaluator of online education and training
  • Experience in the use and application of benchmarking audit processes with or in multi-national organisations
  • Knowledge and understanding of Customer Relationship Management systems and data analytics to ensure the effective production of management reports
  • First-hand experience of the ‘Skills Agenda’ in contributing to EMCC Global Strategic priorities, alongside EU and UNESCO Policy Development across countries and members states worldwide.
