Jun 3, 2025

We are so pleased to announce that Cheryl Cooper is our new EMCC Global Vice President of Accreditation, driving excellence in practice as a member of the EMCC Global Board.

Cheryl brings exceptional depth to the role, having already established herself within EMCC leadership as Vice President of the EMCC Belgium Board, where she spearheaded both accreditation and supervision initiatives.

As an EMCC Global assessor and accredited Team Coach and Senior Practitioner, holding credentials in individual (EIA), supervision (ESIA), and team coaching (ITCA) accreditations, Cheryl combines rigorous professional standards with practical expertise. Her three-decade career shows a track record of empowering leaders, senior executives, and start-up founders to achieve transformational results.

In addition, she brings invaluable corporate expertise spanning both public and private sectors, enriched by nearly two decades of leading the knowledge management, leadership development and organisational change consultancy she founded.

She said: “I am delighted and deeply honoured to join the EMCC Global Executive Board as VP Accreditation, where we will build on the exceptional foundation of professional accreditation that spans our global community.

“Professional excellence and unwavering standards are the hallmarks that distinguish the contribution our members make in the world. I look forward to collaborating with the accreditation community to support every member in achieving well-deserved professional recognition for their expertise, skills, and unwavering dedication.

“I am enthusiastic about bringing my own knowledge and experience to realise our shared vision of valued and meaningful accreditation for our profession in the 21st Century.”

EMCC Global President Mikko Sorvari said: “We extend a warm welcome to Cheryl Cooper, our new VP of Accreditation at EMCC Global. Cheryl brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record in driving strategic advancements. Cheryl succeeds former Vice President of Accreditation and Membership Denise Whitworth, who has led the development of accreditation for EMCC Global for nine years and who will remain with EMCC Global to support Cheryl and provide continuity for assessments and accreditations.

Denise said: “We are delighted to welcome Cheryl into this important role. She brings a breadth of experience and a deep commitment to excellence that aligns beautifully with the values and beliefs at the heart of EMCC Global.

“As I hand over this position, I do so with immense pride in all that we have achieved together, collaborating with our global communities and partners worldwide, and with great optimism for what lies ahead.

“Cheryl’s insight, dedication, and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to build on the exceptional foundations already in place through our collaborative global journey. I am confident that she will help guide EMCC Global into its next exciting phase of continued growth and innovation.

“We wholeheartedly congratulate Cheryl and look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly make, working alongside our global teams, as we continue to shape the future of our accredited professional practice landscape.
