MOZAIC team, EMCC Romania, strikes Gold with highest accreditation achievement

Feb 11, 2025

Many congratulations to the EMCC Romania team behind the reciprocal mentoring programme MOZAIC. Not only have they achieved the highest level of Gold in securing our International Standards in Mentoring and Coaching Programmes (ISMCP) accreditation, they did so scoring 100% in every category.

MOZAIC is  designed to facilitate mutual learning and development between participants. Through the programme, mentorship circles called constellations or mosaics are formed, where participants learn from each other, enriching participants with a variety of skills and experiences. Participants are automatically matched using an algorithm taking into account skills and learning objectives, with the freedom to continue the relationship or move to another.

So far, 135 people have taken part in the first two rounds of the programme, which is now expanding to invite all EMCC members globally to take part.

In considering the application, the assessors looked at all areas of the programme through the lens of the ISMCP framework, itself a blueprint for organisational excellence.

MOZAIC scored 100% in each of the six criteria:

  • Clarity of Purpose
  • Stakeholder Training and Briefing
  • Process for Selection and Matching
  • Process for Measurement and Review
  • Maintaining High Standard of Ethics
  • Administration and Support

MOZAIC is sponsored by EMCC Romania President Vlad Dutescu and co-ordinated by Alina Avarvarei. Adriana Vasilache and Florin Lohan are platform manager and platform technical lead respectively. Active team members are Gabriele Dura, Celine Mircea, Alexandra Dolea, Alina Margineanu, Dana Ghiban and Ana M Marin.

Vlad Dutescu said:

“When we began designing MOZAIC in May 2023, our mission was clear: to create an extraordinary learning and practice experience that would have a lasting impact—challenging perceptions of professional mentoring versus coaching and informal mentoring. Beyond that, we aimed to elevate the value of structured mentoring programmes and contribute to our organizational development.

“Throughout this journey, ISMCP standards served as our North Star, guiding us through challenges, refining our decisions, and helping us align our purpose with the real needs of our stakeholders. We are happy to be able to extend the invitation to experiment with the MOZAIC to EMCC Global members around the world.

“MOZAIC is the place to enhance mentoring skills, connect with fellow professionals, and find expert mentors to support your personal and professional growth.

“Let’s celebrate this achievement together! On behalf of the MOZAIC Team and EMCC Romania, I want to express our deep gratitude to all participants and the accreditation team for the valuable professional dialogue.”

Dr Julie Haddock-Millar, EMCC Global’s lead for the ISMCP accreditation, said:

“Congratulations to all involved, overall, the MOZAIC programme provides a unique offer for accredited mentors and coaches to continue to develop their knowledge and practice, for supervisors to continue to develop their knowledge and practice and for those interested in developing as a coach and mentor to engage in a clear pathway to accreditation.”
