MRA Executive Coaching, EQA for Mentoring with Confidence programme

Drawing from ancient wisdom

UK-based MRA Executive Coaching has been awarded an EMCC Global Quality Award (EQA) at Foundation level for its Mentoring with Confidence programme.

Founder and CEO Matthew Radley said the programme is designed for organisations preparing their own mentors. It is delivered face-to-face or virtually, and combines two half-day tutor-led modules with self-directed learning and peer-supported practice. The modules covers the mentor role, including contracting and boundaries, alongside skills such as listening, questioning and feedback.

Hilary Farrington, MRA’s Director of Professional Qualifications and Supervision, who was involved in the accreditation, said the aim is for mentors to work within a clear framework and engage effectively with their mentees.

Because the programme has now been awarded an EQA, its graduates will be able to apply for their own EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) at Foundation level, with their individual awards applied on completion of the appropriate mentoring experience.

Our assessors noted that the Mentoring with Confidence programme is robust and fit-for-purpose. The programme design and content integrates theory, experiential learning and opportunity to build mentoring practice for a dynamic and engaging delivery. The Global Code of Ethics and EMCC Global Professional Practice capabilities are embedded within the programme

They further noted that the programme team is qualified, experienced and committed to on-going development of the programme. The learners are supported throughout, including guidance for individual accreditation as required. Quality Assurance processes are in place, including internal moderation and external verification.

Matthew Radley said: “Accreditation is vital if our industry is to create self-regulation through its providers. We must uphold our own standards!”

We congratulate Matthew, Hilary, programme tutor Sophie Taylor and the team on this achievement.
