A Turkish social enterprise group has received EMCC Global Quality Award (EQA) for its project management program for mentors.
Banay Akademi, founded by former chemist Banu Aykın Köylüer, said that securing the award is a proud moment which reflects its long-standing commitment to quality, innovation, and social impact in the mentoring profession.
The EMCC Global Quality Award (EQA) sets the benchmark for excellence in mentoring and coaching training programmes. To be awarded with an EQA, each course must rigorously meet the high standards of the EMCC Professional Framework.
Banay Akademi gained the EQA for its practitioner-level program called Digital Mentor™: Mastering Mentorship and Project Management in the Digital World. This is for mentors who want to advance their practice, acquire advanced knowledge, and professionalise their mentoring journey in the rapidly evolving digital world of today.
Banu said: “We are proud to join the EMCC Global provider network and look forward to co-creating a future where mentoring is not only a professional practice, but a transformational force for lifelong learning, equity, and social change.
“In a time of digital transformation, we think that reflective ability, ethical integrity, and emotional intelligence are critical components of good coaching and mentoring. Our program is infused with these values at every level. Participants learn how to unlock human potential through meaningful, technology-enhanced interaction, and they are equipped to mentor with empathy, integrity, and adaptability.”
At its core is the TAM+ Model – a special framework created by Banu bringing together technology, andragogy, mentoring techniques, and positive psychology to improve mentors’ skill set for the future. The program provides a direct pathway for participants to apply for EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) after finishing the required practice hours.
Denise Whitworth, EMCC Global VP Accreditation and Membership congratulated the team, saying: “Congratulations to the team in addressing this important topic as we continue to navigate mentoring and coaching in this digital era.”
