Romanian team gain EMCC Global Quality Award accreditation

Feb 18, 2025

A programme designed for mentors learning in the digital era has gained EMCC Global Quality Award accreditation (EQA).

The innovative Mentor in Digital Era programme was developed by two Romanian professionals Florentina Soare and Dana Moldoveanu Brandes. The two, from Mentorissima and ProActive respectively, were praised by assessors for discovering their uniqueness as mentors and improving their digital competencies.

EMCC Global assessors recognised the strength of the programme when awarding the EQA accreditation. As a result of EQA accreditation, graduates will be able to apply for their individual accreditation (EIA) straight away once they have reached the required hours, as EMCC Global has already been reassured that the quality and content of the learning meets our requirements.

The assessors noted the effectiveness of digital, audio, video, written and practice as teaching and assessment methods. They added that the programme made mentors’ learning path easy and clear. The assessment methods are crafted to foster the continuous professional development of mentors. Participants assess their portfolio evidence, working with their peer mentor, to ensure it meets all required criteria. The programme is structured on EMCC Global’s International Standards in Mentoring and Coaching Programmes (ISMCP) framework for organisational excellence, as well as  the EMCC Global Individual Programme Manager Accreditation (IPMA) standards.

Florentina, who lives in Bucharest, has a background as a Senior Human Resources professional, and is a EMCC Global senior practitioner and IPMA senior practitioner. Dana, who is in Luxemburg, built her career as a psychologist, specialising in positive psychology. Dana is also an EMCC Global Senior Practitioner. Both act as EMCC Global volunteers – Florentina in EIA Accreditation, Mentoring and ISMCP workgroups and Dana with the EIA Accreditation workgroup.

Florentina and Dana are thrilled that their Mentoring in the Digital Era program has received official accreditation.

They said: “This accreditation is more than a recognition. It is a confirmation of the value and uniqueness of our program.

“This milestone is a testimony to the innovative, high-quality approach developed from and for the Romanian market and beyond — a program designed and delivered through the collaboration of two Romanian professional women with international expertise. Together, we are proud to introduce mentoring and evidence-based coaching practices supported by digitalisation to empower the next generation of professionals.”

The core programme covers:

  • Learning new skills through advanced LMS tools and interactive workshops.
  • Practicing mentoring in real-world settings with our comprehensive mentoring programme.
  • Reflecting on growth through supervision sessions, aligning with EMCC Global accreditation standards (EQA, EIA, IPMA, ISMCP) and leveraging principles of student-centred, action-based learning.

Florentina and Dana added: “This achievement strengthens our vision which is:  In every person, there is a mentor waiting to be discovered.

“We are excited to continue empowering individuals and fostering professional excellence. Together, let’s shape a brighter, more connected future.”

Denise Whitworth, EMCC Global VP Accreditation and Membership, said: “Mentor in a Digital Age offers a clear, structured path to becoming an EMCC Global accredited mentor, combining fresh insights, rigorous standards, and personalised development.

“I am delighted that they have secured this award furthering them on their mission to train and inspire professionals. This programme guides mentees in their individualised learning journeys, especially in the changing digital age.”
